The Christian Life
Life isn't easy. Others thought that once you followed Jesus, your life will be easy.
But… it’s all the more that you get storms of trials and struggles.
But what is amazing is that you get to meet Him in those instances.
And even those storms would be calmed when you’re in His presence.
Good and bad moments He is always there. He is always with me.
And despite the chaos, He gives me unexplainable peace, comfort and joy.
Amazing. His love is surely amazing.
It's been more than 3 years since I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. But I tell you, it wasn't easy. There were persecutions of many kind, challenges, struggles, family illnesses broken relationships etc. Name it! I've been through worst but what is amazing is that I survived it and I am constantly surviving not because on my own strength and might but because God's grace abounds in my life. Apart from Him, I am really nothing. As I continue to rely and depend on His grace, I am amazed on how He can do great things in my life. Surely all things are possible in JESUS' name.
Though you can't avoid to get discouraged or to fail in life, God reminds us that He is with us every step of the way. Good times and bad times. Especially in bad and painful times, He is teaching us. He is pruning us to grow spiritually. It may be a painful process but He has a purpose. And whatever happens in our lives, yes, WHATEVER, it will be well with our soul because He is still good and our hope is in Him. Though at times that we can't understand what is happening, we can be rest assured that God is in control and that He always has a better plan for our lives. He is the one thing that's constant and so are His promises.
Yes, the Christian life is hard, but as long as You are in the presence of God and is aligned to His will, He will be with you. The joy of the Lord will be our strength. And though everyday is a battle, not in the physical realm but it's in the spiritual realm, we should know how to fight our battles right and in it is through prayer and in God's word. May we be equipped with weapons and the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20) that God has given us for spiritual warfare: belt of truth, breastplate or righteousness, shoe of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. Remember, we are already victorious. God has won it so many years ago! So we fight not for victory but in victory!
So my dear fellow Christian, stand firm in faith. Focus on God and not on your circumstance... not on your sin. Remember that He is greater than all of this. So pray without ceasing (1Thes. 5:7) and believe. Increase your faith! Have faith that even though started as small as a mustard seed can grow and move mountains. Be rooted and established in His love.
